Maya`s Mexican Grill in Soutd Lake Tahoe

By far one of the best Mexican food restaurants I’ve had in my life. As a Latina & picky one at that, I feel this is major validity. The fresh corn tortillas were delicious. Their carne asada burritos are so full of flavor too. Thank you for great customer service too!!

Excuse the pictures but the hunger and the quality of food was to amazing to stop and take pictures...definitely recommend this place coming from someone that grew up with pure Mexican food this is great to findGreat service. Great Food, and Great atmosphere to chill while in tahoe!!

Superb Mexican food! It looks like a small place next to all the big restaurants around, but don't miss this. There's little to no wait time, all the people there are very nice, and you get proper excellent Mexican food.

Delicious tortillas, great carnitas and a fantastic selection of salsas. Tacos are $2.25 each for pork, chicken and steak. Would definitely recommend this cozy spot!

We didn't feel like we were served home made tortillas,tacos were not consistant,as far as, the amount of meat per taco.We would not recommend to eat here

Such a good authentic Mexican restaurant. Homemade tortilla! Salsa bar extensive and very hard working kind owner. Will be back.

Really good authentic Mexican restaurant at reasonable prices. They make their own tortillas. They're a bit on the small side but very good. It's across the street from the south end of the Heavenly Village shopping strip. They only take cash though.

Absolutely delish really sweet worker and quite affordable defiantly not fast food but the good comes fast and delicious! All that was only 15$ so worth it!

Maybe it is because we got there around closing time or maybe it is because I am from Southern Cali, but the plate I had was not at all good. Would not call it authentic.

Pretty good Mexican food in town. I had a good burrito that hit the spot. Salsas were on the spicy side but good! Make sure you bring cash, that's all they take! Other than that, another spot to visit when we return!

Fantastic Food, its that secret out of the beaten path kinda place. Very friendly, the Menudo is superb!!!!!!!

Ordered 3 tacos, they were good, my favorite was the shrimp taco. hand made tortillas, really fast service even though they were very busy. Prices were very reasonable.

Tacos were not handmade, asada was not very good.

Food really good best Mexican restaurant in Tahoe I think. lot of salsa to choose from and sides. It small and busy but well worth the wait .

Don’t be dissuaded by the size of the place. The food was fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed the salsa bar, too. Very authentic.

This taco shop has good tasty food, the salsa is just right with different spicy levels.Just be patience because sometimes it gets very busy and the cashier takes the orders writing by hand or maybe the days we been here the cash register isn’t working properly, so that takes times but you get your food and is really good.

Rather small sized tacos than I expected.Shrimp tacos were good but the fish tacos.. not so much.. Probably something to do with taking the food back to hotel rather than eating at the restaurant.

I told them no cheese add sour cream they still put cheese didn’t add sour cream and the meat was burnt horrible customer service there

Being from Texas, it was refreshing to find a real deal Mexican Restaurant. They had 4 different excellent salsas with varying degrees of heat, and the burritos were on point. We had them add some sliced serranos which really kicked it up to high gear. Fantastic!

I honestly LOVED it and so did my family. The food is so delicious, tasty and savory. The customer service is unpecable and they always serve you with a smile. The price of the food is totally reasonable especially for the quality of the food served here. Would definitely go again and will go there again. It was just a delight :)

The menudo is good and the chorizo was good, I give it 2 stars because the service is non existent. and my wife ordered Milk and she was given a 20 ounce Styrofoam cup with approximately 6 ounces of milk, deeply disappointed will not return here. NOT Recommended, if you want good food in Tahoe go to LOS JALAPENOS!

Maya's mexican grill off Lake Tahoe Blvd, only here once and was not impressed, a waste of money. Charged $1 for chips and diluted salsa then ordered fish tacos which contained the smallest pieces of fish ever, refried beans were weird.. white runny and tasted very salty, rice was cold. Radio blasting loud talk show in corner, very uncomfortable & strange atmosphere overall. No bathroom available, cash only, hard to find parking.

Enchiladas were cold. Paid $30 for food that tasted like it sat for 20 minutes.

Great place to get authentic Mexican food up on the mountains, I was really surprised to find this place and it's now a staple for our visits.I do wish they had spicier hot sauces, despite having a pretty wide selection to choose from

We had the tacos and they were delicious! You may choose from 5 or 6 types. The guacamole was excellent and so are their salsas😊👍,👍👍👍

Cash only but the price is very good. We enjoyed the great food and the nice service in this little cozy Mexican restaurant. Definitely come back again.

So I'm a bit picky with Mexican food cause not all Mexican food has that authentic taste. This place was delicious. Great flavor. The place to eat in is a bit too small so better to take out. However it is really good.

I got beef burrito to go. I opened it wheni got to the hotel, there was a very little meat in it. They filled it with rice. I do not recommend this place.

I had the menudo, so did many diners there, and it was a good choice. I also had the taco al pastor, which was good also, as was the hochata.
